“At my clinic, during the two days a week we receive patients, we treat some 70 – 75 patients. This forced us to use, alongside our receptionists, an external system for the scheduling of appointments.

At first, we were subscribed to a company providing appointment scheduling services via an operator manned call center and the appointments diary was accessed through their site.  Unfortunately, a large number of failures (appointment diary crashing etc.) plus high costs, forced us to find an alternative solution.  Eventually we chose the appointment scheduling system provided by Odoro and have been using it for a number of years.

When we began working together, we defined our clinic’s characteristics with Odoro, including: addresses, opening hours, telephone numbers, days and hours when the clinic received patients, frequency of appointments etc.

Within just a few days we had been allocated a dedicated telephone number and, essentially, the system was ready to operate.

The patient’s call the computerized system’s telephone number and can simply and quickly make all appointments they need, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  What’s more, in the clinic (or any other location with internet access) we can see the actual status of the appointments diary – it’s updated immediately.

The obvious advantages of using the Odoro system are: ease of use, a significant saving in costs and time and greater efficiency in the management of the clinic’s appointments.

In most cases, the move to an appointment scheduling system isn’t a simple one (just to inform our existing patients that an additional option for making appointments is available take a lot of time and resources).  Despite this, in this case, the effort paid off (in every aspect) and even earlier than expected.
